Emergency Patients Welcome
Do I Need Root Canal Treatment?
Pain when biting down, bleeding gums, dark discoloration on your tooth, and persistent dental sensitivity are all common warning signs of serious decay or an infection. So, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us if you are experiencing these or any other abnormal symptoms! That way, we can take X-rays and visually examine your tooth, determining if the pulp, or center of the tooth, has been exposed to harmful bacteria and decay. If that’s the case, then we will need to perform a root canal.

The Root Canal Process
First, Dr. Camenzuli will administer a local anesthetic to numb the area. Then, he will remove the pulp and any other damaged or decayed tissue before cleaning the inner chamber and sealing it off (this will help prevent infection in the future). The final step of creating a custom dental crown will be broken up into two parts. At your first appointment, we will take impressions of your tooth and attach a temporary crown. At your second appointment, we will remove your temporary restoration and have your final one secured in place.
The Benefits of Getting a Root Canal
Contrary to popular belief, root canal treatment isn’t scary. Quite the opposite: this emergency dental service can alleviate your pain, stop the infection in its tracks, and prevent your tooth from needing to be extracted. If you can believe it, that’s just the beginning of the list of benefits. Root canal treatments also have an extremely high success rate, and the restorations used to protect teeth moving forward are lifelike in look and feel. So, no one will know you had a root canal except you and your dental team!
